Only 4 full days left :(

It was a whirlwind kind of a day! The weather was PERFECT and we picked the PERFECT day to spend at Sea World!

We made a plan and were able to stick to it, until Emma got sick around lunch time and needed to go home (we'll get back to that later, so hold on to that thought.). We decided which shows we wanted to see and planned our tour of the park around those. First things, first, we went to see the Sea Lion show, which was a spoof on TV shows. It was quite humorous! The kids enjoyed the acrobatic abilities of the animals, while the Jeff and I also enjoyed the humor of the spoofing! We had enough time to make our way over to watch Shamu's show, "Believe". What a really cool show! From there we went to Bay of Play, where Tucker and Claire were too excited for words. They rode Oscar's Rocking Eel, Elmo's Flying Fish, and Abby's Sea Star Spin, several times each! They are the true adventurous ones of all the kids. As we trekked out to get lunch, the kids decided to run through the water and cool off.

As we were partaking of the lunch, Emma, told us she was feeling a bit ill. She, Ba, and Pop ended up leaving, while the rest of us headed back to the park for more thrills, chills, and spills. Emma, we believe was suffering from some heat exhaustion. By the time we came home, she was feeling better... better enough to eat 4 of Ba's chicken tenders, three serving of curly fries, and two servings of salad.

The adventurous ones, highly enjoyed the rest of our day at the, mostly empty, park. We checked out the starfish tidal pool, visited the Shark Encounter, Seth's favorite part of the park, rode the rapids, twice, saw "Elmo 4-D", then Tucker got his wish... and rode "the BIG roller coaster", Journey to Atlantis! The other kids were too scared, so I stayed with them. After seeing the first drop, into the water, I thought, "Oh no. Tucker is going to be screaming, not for joy, but in fear." I was wrong, Tucker really loved the ride. Jeff wanted me to ride it, so we felt comfortable leaving the kids alone, since we were closing the ride, and got right on. I have never ridden a "roller coaster/log ride" that has an ELEVATOR! It was a cool ride and I understand why Tucker enjoyed it so much.

I was my children's age the last time I visited Sea World, in Florida, and it was MUCH cooler as an adult. We are continually thankful to Ba and Pop for paying for our trip, while here in San Diego.

By the way, Aunt Bone arrived tonight and will be with us until Sunday night. We are all excited to have the whole Mauldin clan together for a few days. We even have matching t-shirts that we are going to be required to wear tomorrow at the San Diego Zoo. We will get pics and show them, since Jeff is right now, as I type, working on the new piece of equipment to download the pics onto the computer. Keep an eye out for them.

See you all tomorrow. Sweet dreams.
Mitz
