San Diego, Day 1

After much ado about nothing, we finally decided on the "3-for-1 Pass", which includes Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park. By the time the decision was made to purchase them, actually purchase them, and eat lunch, it was already after 1 pm, so we decided to spend our first afternoon at the San Diego Zoo, since we have unlimited entrance into all 3 of these places for 5 days. It is really nice, because we are only about 5-6 minutes away from the park.

For the 4 hours we had there, we were able to take the 40 minute bus tour around the whole park, check out the Children's Zoo, insects, and the reptiles. The tour was quite educational, each one of us learned something new. Here is one thing each that we learned...

Mitz- The San Diego Zoo is the largest zoo in the world.
Claire- A giraffe has only 7 bones in their necks.
Skyzr- An African elephant has ears that look like a map of Africa, while an Asian elephant has ears that look like a map of Asia.
Seth - The San Diego Zoo is not only a zoo, but it is also a rescue and conservatory.
Tucker- A Bird Eating Spider is as big as a dinner plate.
Jeff- An elephant has 40,000 muscles in it's trunk.

We came home and celebrated the American holiday of Cinco de Mayo, with tacos and chips and salsa, and TONS of viggies, which made Ba absolutely ecstatic! It looks like we might watch "Hoodwinked" tonight and then bed.

Don't know what's on tap for tomorrow, but you'll know as soon as I do.

Sleep well everyone,
Mitz
